South African trio tops leader board at inaugural Joburg Open

JOHANNESBURG, South Africa (AP) -- James Kingston shot his second straight 66 on Friday for a share of the second-round lead with South African compatriots Hennie Otto and Jakobus Roos in the inaugural Joburg Open.

Kingston followed his opening 5-under 66 on the Royal Johannesburg and Kensington Golf Club's difficult East Course with a 6-under 66 on the West Course to match Otto and Roos at 11-under. Otto shot a 67 on the West Course, and Roos had a 65 on the East.

Australia's Terry Pilkadaris (66) was 10-under.

The tournament is sanctioned by the European and Southern Africa tours. The final two rounds will be played on the East Course.
