Editor's Note: Kyle Thompson broke through for his first Tour win at The Rex Hospital Open. He Added another top-10 finish at the National Mining Association Pete Dye Classic (T7) before winning for the second time at the Oregon Classic, prevailing in a playoff over Matthew Jones and Jon Turcott. He set up the extra session with an eagle on the final hole of regulation and then birdied the second playoff hole for the victory. He collected $85,500 for the win to move to No. 7 on the money list, virtually guaranteeing his first trip to the PGA TOUR.

Thompson sat down with PGATOUR.com's Dave Lagarde for a game of 10 questions.

1. If the PGA TOUR allows music on the first tee what song will be used to introduce you?

2. What was your most embarrassing moment on a golf course?

Thompson: I whiffed a tee shot in a professional event when I was the only amateur in the field.'

3. You have the power to alter any rule in the game of golf. What is it and why do you want to change it?

Thompson: I'd let players tap down spike marks. I wear spikes and I am tired of hearing about it.

4. Who would you most like to hit balls next to next year, and why?

Thompson: Tiger. He's the man. It would be fun to watch him pure it.

5. Do you have any oddball superstitions? If not, what's the strangest one you've heard of?

Thompson: I do not, but I know a lot of guys who do. I try to block out that stuff.

6. When your putt rolls in to win your first PGA TOUR title, will you go with the Tiger fist pump, the Mickelson mini-vertical jump or something a little crazier?

Thompson: Who knows? I guess it would depend on the situation. If it's a long putt to win I'll probably go crazy.

7. Other than winning a tournament, what would make next year a success?

Thompson: Making the top 60 (on the money list).

8. You've been granted a 60-minute sit-down with any figure in the world of golf, living or dead. What's your first question and to whom would you address it?

Thompson: Ben Hogan. I'd just love to stand on range and pick his brain about every subject under the sun.

9. What is your wildest golf dream?

Thompson: Winning the Masters. It's in my backyard.

10. What is the most valuable lesson about your profession you learned on the Nationwide Tour?

Thompson: That you have to be patient. You can't force anything. That doesn't work. You have to let things fall into place.
