This week's edition of "Featured Foursome" includes North Carolinian David Mathis, Georgia Bulldog Scott Parel, 2004 National Mining Association Pete Dye Classic champion D.A. Points and Massachusetts native Fran Quinn. Mathis (7th), Parel (T4) and Quinn (8th) enjoyed their best finishes of the year in last week's Xerox Classic in Rochester, N.Y.

David Mathis

Born in Winston-Salem, N.C. ... Resides in Raleigh, N.C. ... Age 33 ... Single ... 1997 Campbell University graduate where he earned All-Big South Conference honors in 1993 and 1994 ... Has a degree in Business ... Since turning professional in 1997, he has played in five PGA TOUR events and 143 Nationwide Tour events (best finish of his career last week at the Xerox Classic, 7th) ... Is in his second year on the Nationwide Tour ... Finished T30th last year at the National Mining Association Pete Dye Classic ... Is 88th on the money list.

Scot Parel

Born in Pontiac, Mich. ... Resides in Augusta, Ga. ...Age 42 ... Married w/two children ... 1986 graduate of University of Georgia where he earned a degree in Computer Science ... Since turning professional in 1996, he has played in four PGA TOUR events (best finish T57, 2006 BellSouth Classic) and 74 Nationwide Tour events (best finish, T4 in last week's Xerox Classic) ... Has won a mini-tour event every year since turning pro ... Worked as a computer programmer and database administrator for 10 years upon graduating from Georgia ... Is currently 77th on the money list.
