Watson returning to Boise for Kraft Shoot-Out in September

BOISE, Idaho -- SUPERVALU and The Albertsons Boise Open presented by First Health announced Monday that PGA TOUR Driving Distance Leader, Bubba Watson, will return to Boise for the Kraft Shoot-Out to kick off tournament week on Monday, September 17, 2007.

Watson currently leads the PGA TOUR in driving distance with an impressive 315 yards per drive despite his pink-shafted driver. But Watson is not all brawn, as he is third on the PGA TOUR All-Around ranking, combining all statistical categories, and is currently 24th on the money list with $1,484,235 in earnings for 2007.

Bubba has earned seven top-25 finishes including five top-10 finishes this year highlighted by a runner-up finish at the Shell Houston Open and most recently a tie for fifth in the U.S. Open at Oakmont. He is currently ranked 24th in the PGA TOUR's new FedExCup Standings.

Watson's appearance at the Kraft Shoot-Out will not be his first visit to Hillcrest Country Club. Prior to earning his way on to the PGA TOUR through the Nationwide Tour by finishing 21st on the Nationwide Tour Money list in 2005, Bubba played in the Albertsons Boise Open presented by First Health three times (2003, 2004 and 2005), making the cut each time and having his best finish in 2005, a tie for 11th.

The Kraft Shoot-Out will kick off the eighteenth annual Albertsons Boise Open presented by First Health at 2:30 pm on September 17 and will be broadcast live on Golf Channel to 75 million households. The Kraft Shoot-Out is free to the public.

Since its inception in 1990, the Albertsons Boise Open presented by First Health has provided nearly $6 million to Boise and Southwestern Idaho youth-oriented charities.

Once again this year, tickets for tournament rounds (Thursday-Sunday) for the Albertsons Charity program where local non-profit organizations sell tournament tickets and keep 100 percent of the ticket revenue. In addition, each ticket selling organization receives a portion of the $50,000 bonus pool provided by Sara Lee and Albertsons based the non-profit's percentage of total ticket sales through the program.
