'Quest for the Card' set to debut on GOLF CHANNEL ORLANDO, Fla. -- Follow the Nationwide Tour on Quest for the Card as the circuit makes its journey from Australia to the United States and points in between. The GOLF CHANNEL's inside analysis and highlights show about the Nationwide Tour will make its season premiere Tuesday, April 17 at 6:30 p.m. ET. Paired with the cable network's exclusive coverage of the Nationwide Tour, the series will bring viewers closer to the future stars of golf with highlights and behind-the-scenes action. While tournament action decides who will earn a promotion to the PGA TOUR in 2008, Quest for the Card also incorporates players and their families to portray life on the Nationwide Tour. In addition, shows will have instructional tips and insight to the equipment players are using. The premiere episode will recap the first three events (co-sanctioned international events) and break down the Nationwide Tour's new "Top 25" look for the 2007 season, where players finishing in the top 25 on the money list earn PGA TOUR cards for 2008. In addition, Louisiana native Ryan Hietala sits down and teaches a foreign player how to eat crawfish as they chat about their experience on the Nationwide Tour. One of the leading tours on the golf landscape, Nationwide Tour alumni have accounted for over 200 victories on the PGA TOUR, including Zack Johnson's victory last week in the Masters. In addition, the circuit has accounted for 11 wins in the majors by individuals such as David Duval, Ernie Els and Tom Lehman.
