Born in Calgary, Alberta, Canada...Resides in Vernon, British Columbia, Canada...Age 24...2004 University of Texas-El Paso grad in Management...Began 2006 with no status on the Nationwide Tour but still managed to make 18 starts with 12 weekend appearances...Finished the season at No. 51 on the money to earn full status in 2007...Had two fourth place finishes in 2006 at the Legend Financial Group Classic and Oregon Classic...Has also played on the Canadian Tour where he posted a career-best second-place finish at the 2005 Michelin Morelia Classic...As an amateur, qualified for the 2003 U.S. Open at the age of 20, eventually missing the cut with rounds of 72-74...Later that year made the cut at the Bell Canadian Open, becoming the first Canadian amateur in 20 years to do so... Went on to finish T73.... Was runner-up at the 2003 Canadian Amateur Championship.

Was 1996 Big Eight Conference Champion...Two-time Academic All-American...Member of the 1995 Walker Cup team...Grandfather, Oree Marsalis, defeated Tommy Bolt in the Shreveport City Championship in the 1920s...Started on his high school soccer team that won the 1990 state championship in Lafayette, LA.
