Wilson gets Nationwide Tour's 200th PGA TOUR win

PONTE VEDRA BEACH, Fla. -- Mark Wilson's win Monday at The Honda Classic is the 200th PGA TOUR victory by a former Nationwide Tour player. Now in its 18th year, the Nationwide Tour's first PGA TOUR win came in 1991 when Bruce Fleisher won the New England Classic.

Wilson, 32, outlasted Jose Coceres and fellow Nationwide Tour alumni Camilo Villegas and Boo Weekley in a three-hole playoff to earn his first PGA TOUR win at PGA National Resort & Spa in Palm Beach Gardens, Fla. The Wisconsin native who resides in Elmhurst, IL has played in 34 Nationwide Tour events dating back to 2001. He competed in 23 events on the Tour in 2002. The University of North Carolina graduate has played the majority of his golf on the PGA TOUR since 2003, earning $1.8 million.
