| Feb. 6, 2007Editor's note: This is part of a series of Q&A's with the 22 Nationwide Tour graduates. In this edition, PGATOUR.com spoke with D.J. Brigman who made the cut in 15 of 24 events on the Nationwide Tour in 2006. PGATOUR.com: What are three things not related to golf that you consider must-dos in this lifetime? Brigman: Have at least two children. Sky dive. Perform a financial favor for a complete stranger. PGATOUR.com: What is your wildest golf dream? Brigman: Win a major and have my wife and three children run out on the 18th green to celebrate. PGATOUR.com: What aspect of the playing on the PGA TOUR will make you most nervous next year and why? Brigman: My first tee shot on the last day of a tournament in the final group, because that is why I practice and play: to be in contention the last day. PGATOUR.com: What was your welcome-to-professional-golf moment? Brigman: Winning the New Mexico Open in 2001 and collecting my biggest check of $5,000. PGATOUR.com: You've been granted a 60-minute sit-down with any figure in the world of golf, living or dead. What's your first question -- and to whom would you address it? Brigman: To Bobby Jones: "What was the most beneficial way for you to practice?" PGATOUR.com: Describe the menu, from soup to nuts, of your next title celebration dinner. And name the wine pairings. Brigman: Starter: Maguro in a serrano pepper soy sauce with Kirin Beer. Salad: Frisee and roasted potato salad with a dijon-vinagarette with Cakebread. 2002 Chardonnay. Main course: Kobe beef filet topped with artichoke hearts in a white peppercorn sauce with steamed garlic broccoli and twice baked potato with Clos du Bois 2000, Merlot. Dessert: Chocolate roll stuffed with whipped cream and topped with my NaNa's chocolate sauce with a big glass of milk. PGATOUR.com: Name five songs in your iPod. Brigman: Nickleback -- Rock Star; Nickleback -- Savin Me; Evanescence -- Bring Me to Life; Uncle Cracker -- Drift Away; Stone Sour -- Through Glass. PGATOUR.com: Other than winning a tournament, what would make next year a success? Brigman: Finishing inside the top 70 on the money list. PGATOUR.com: Who would you most like to hit balls next to, and why? Brigman: Ben Hogan so I could hear what perfection sounded like.' PGATOUR.com: You've got one more victory coming before you retire. What trophy do you want to hoist and why? Brigman: The U.S. Open. It has the most difficult course set up and is a true test of a golf course vs. a golfer.' |
