Q&A: Brigman on food, his goals and his wildest dream

Editor's note: This is part of a series of Q&A's with the 22 Nationwide Tour graduates. In this edition, PGATOUR.com spoke with D.J. Brigman who made the cut in 15 of 24 events on the Nationwide Tour in 2006.

PGATOUR.com: What are three things not related to golf that you consider must-dos in this lifetime?
Brigman: Have at least two children. Sky dive. Perform a financial favor for a complete stranger.

PGATOUR.com: What is your wildest golf dream?
Brigman: Win a major and have my wife and three children run out on the 18th green to celebrate.

PGATOUR.com: What aspect of the playing on the PGA TOUR will make you most nervous next year and why?
Brigman: My first tee shot on the last day of a tournament in the final group, because that is why I practice and play: to be in contention the last day.

PGATOUR.com: What was your welcome-to-professional-golf moment?
Brigman: Winning the New Mexico Open in 2001 and collecting my biggest check of $5,000.

PGATOUR.com: You've been granted a 60-minute sit-down with any figure in the world of golf, living or dead. What's your first question -- and to whom would you address it?
Brigman: To Bobby Jones: "What was the most beneficial way for you to practice?"

PGATOUR.com: Describe the menu, from soup to nuts, of your next title celebration dinner. And name the wine pairings.
Brigman: Starter: Maguro in a serrano pepper soy sauce with Kirin Beer.
Salad: Frisee and roasted potato salad with a dijon-vinagarette with Cakebread.
2002 Chardonnay.
Main course: Kobe beef filet topped with artichoke hearts in a white peppercorn sauce with steamed garlic broccoli and twice baked potato with Clos du Bois 2000, Merlot.
Dessert: Chocolate roll stuffed with whipped cream and topped with my NaNa's chocolate sauce with a big glass of milk.

PGATOUR.com: Name five songs in your iPod.
Brigman: Nickleback -- Rock Star; Nickleback -- Savin Me; Evanescence -- Bring Me to Life; Uncle Cracker -- Drift Away; Stone Sour -- Through Glass.

PGATOUR.com: Other than winning a tournament, what would make next year a success?
Brigman:
Finishing inside the top 70 on the money list.

PGATOUR.com: Who would you most like to hit balls next to, and why?
Brigman: Ben Hogan so I could hear what perfection sounded like.'

PGATOUR.com: You've got one more victory coming before you retire. What trophy do you want to hoist and why?
Brigman: The U.S. Open. It has the most difficult course set up and is a true test of a golf course vs. a golfer.'
