Dec. 28, 2006

Tripp Isenhour parlayed his golf skills and determination into two Nationwide Tour wins and five top-ten finishes. He hopes that success will carry over as he embarks on the 2007 PGA TOUR. He recently talked to PGATOUR.com about his life outside of golf.

PGATOUR.com: Tell me three things not related to golf that you consider must-dos before you're on the wrong side of the divot?
Isenhour:
• Raise my kids with lots of love and care.
• Open a restaurant.
• Start a foundation to teach economic education in grammar schools.

PGATOUR.com: What is your wildest golf dream?

PGATOUR.com: What aspect of the Nationwide Tour will you miss most next season?
Isenhour: The camaraderie. It's much different out here than on the PGA TOUR. The guys get along better and are so much friendlier.

PGATOUR.com: What was your welcome-to-professional-golf moment?
Isenhour: It was in the 1990 Louisiana Open. I thought I played pretty well and finished 16 shots behind the winner.

PGATOUR.com: You've been granted a 60-minute sit-down with any figure in the world of golf, living or dead. What's your first question -- and to whom would you address it?
Isenhour: I'd want to ask Donald Ross, Why do modern architects not get his genius.

PGATOUR.com: Describe the menu, from soup to nuts, of your next title celebration dinner. And name the wine pairings.
Isenhour: The appetizer would be potato-crusted seared scallops with a piquant sauce. I'd have a Pinot Grigio. The salad would be a very tradition Romaine lettuce salad with fresh vegetables with balsamic vinaigrette. I stick with the Pinot Grigio. The main course would be cinnamon-crusted venison with bourbon mashed sweet potatoes and a veal demi-glace reduction sauce. I'd pair that with Torbeck's The Stump Jump. Dessert would be a white chocolate brownie cream pie with Fladgate port.

PGATOUR.com: Name five songs in your iPod.
Isenhour:
Back in Black by AC/DC
A Little Less Conversation by Elvis Presley
Upside Down by Jack Johnson
Within by Eminem
Days Go By by Keith Urban

PGATOUR.com: Other than winning a tournament, what would make next year a success?
Isenhour: Finishing in the top 30 on the money list.

PGATOUR.com: The first time you're paired with Tiger, what would you say to break the ice?
Isenhour: I'd do my Lee Porter impression. I've done it for him before and cracked him up.

PGATOUR.com: Who would you most like to hit balls next to, and why?
Isenhour: Pamela Anderson. Self explanatory.
